[It's dark when Ava wakes up. It's dark, and she's alone. And....she hurts. It aches when she tries to move. Not that she really can, because she's tied up, but when she tries, it hurts.

She takes a deep breath. And another one. Because she knows very well that someone will come for her, if they're not already on their way.

Another deep breath. She tries to remember what happened. And she really has no clue. There'd been a drink, at the party. It must have been drugged. Everything went dark after that.

But someone was coming. And that someone was probably going to be Edward.]

[She's in pain, but she tries to hug him anyway.]

I need to see a doctor.

Yeah, I should be, though. God... Ava, please don't be hurt.

[He can tell she's in pain, and there are tears stinging at the corners of his eyes, a strain in his voice.]

I'm sorry. I'll get you to a doc, okay?

I'll be okay. [She gently touches his cheek.] I'm always okay.

Ava, I'm sorry. I'm so-- [He pulls his helmet off for a second to give her a kiss, then holds it loosely back on his head to make a call out to a doctor.]

[And she's just going to hold on to him in the meantime.]

You didn't do anything wrong. Don't blame yourself.

I should've been there.

[He pulls the helmet off again.]

What happened?

I was drugged at the fundraiser. I don't remember anything after that.

[particularly]

At the fundraiser?

[His face looks dark now.]

I'm going to make some phone calls.

Why? ....Edward, what do you think happened?

There were cameras.

I don't think they'll find anything. It was planned out.

I know it was. Damn, Ava, I know.

[He realizes he's raised his voice.]

Sorry. I'm gonna get you out of here and get you home.

[She gives him a kiss, to try to reassure him that everything's okay.]

Will there be a doctor waiting?

[particularly]

Yeah. I'm... Yes.

[He holds his head in his hands and he's got tears in his eyes. He's never been this angry.]

[She'll hold on to him tighter, even though he's in the suit and can't feel it.]

I'm okay. Okay? I'm okay.

[particularly]

You're not okay! You're hurt, and it's all my fault for not protecting you.

[cendrawasih]

[She shakes her head, and gives him a look.]

It's not your fault.

[particularly]

Baby, it's my fault.

[He's scooping her up and carrying her out, now.]

It is. I'm sorry.

[cendrawasih]

[She loops her arms around his neck and holds on.]

No, it's really not. It's my fault for not being careful.

[particularly]

You didn't know. You're not a superhero. Nobody expects you to be one.

[He carefully kisses her cheek.]

I should still know better, considering my family, and this has been happening to me forever.

[Seriously Edward let her take the blame. She will fight you.]

[particularly]

You didn't... nobody expects you to. You're... I don't know. I can't think straight. Just hold on.

[He's flying her back down to street level.]

[She holds on even tighter.]

I'll be okay, though. I promise.

[particularly]

Promise promise?

[He's going to buy her a garden and a star and half the moon after this.]

You've gotta be more careful.

I know. I will.

And yes, I promise. I might just be sore from being stuck in a cramped room.
