Make a cup with your hands to take a drink
[Ava's bored. She rarely gets bored, because she pretty generally has stuff to do, but right now, she's bored. She wants to do something--it doesn't matter what, really. She kind of wants to go on an adventure. And when she wants to do that, there's one person she can always turn to.]
Heeeeey. I'm bored.
Heeeeey. I'm bored.

What's up buttercup?

[Ava is not asking him to play hooky. Except how she might be. Bad Ava.]

[Which is code for: this meeting bores even ME, save me! He is just sneaking back to his office...]

[You've been saved, Edward. Your knight in shining armor is here, and it's distinctly Ava-shaped.]

[Yeah. He uses the tilde regularly. He hopes with a soft smile that she remembers the sing-song way he'd say that if he was actually there.
Back in his office, he slams himself back into his desk chair, letting it roll back a foot or two before he leans forward again, grabs the edge of the desk, and drags himself forward while he cues up the phone system.
Ring ring, Ava. Stark-skype!]

Hey, you!

Hi. Bored?

[Edward, she gets all goofy when she sees your face, even if it's on a computer screen. Butterflies and smiles everywhere.]

[He will always hope that that feeling, their mutual silliness and affection, sticks with them both forever. He wants to love her more and more every minute, with plenty to spare that they'll make up within hours of a disagreement.]
You saved me. You're my knight in shining armor for real.

[She wants to reach through the screen and grab him. It's crazy, how being apart makes her miss him, even if they haven't even been apart for that long.]
You know what you should do know? You should come get me, and we should go somewhere.

[He looks like he wants to just roll over and curl up with her, but alas, working. Being an heir is tough.]
I'm stuck here for another hour. Dad's not gonna go easy on me if I don't hold down the fort.

[bad Ava.]
After that, though?
no subject
[All grins now, he points at her.]
You. Me. Date.

A fun one, though. I want adventure.

[Fake pout.]
